Default iphone 3g error 21 cant restore...

i was able to restore my iphone to 4.2.1 but when im about to jailbreak it... it got stuck during jailbreak.. now i cannot restore it...

sometimes i can get through the restore progess bar but it suddenly reboots.. it gives me a white screen then error 21 pops out from itunes..

sometimes the white screen has green vertical lines or blue flashing... i dont know what to do... please help me..

i also encountered error 9 but most of the error is 21...

    what i do to restore:

    1. plug iphone to usb (which by the way, turns on once i plug it) i cannot switch it on/off since i always end up at the recovery mode every time i turn it on... also, sometimes when i switch it on, i only get a blank black screen... no apple logo.

    2. put iphone to dfu mode...
method 1: hold power and home while the iphone is on and wait unitl it shuts off and count from 1 to 7. then itunes reads it and i go with the restore process but when the phone is about to get to the apple logo screen where the wheel and progress bar shows up... its suddenly reboots and i get a white screen plus error 21 instead..

method2: same as the first one, but instead of counting 1 to 7 after the phone turns off. i rehold the home and power again and count 1 to 10 (which is the normal way in dfu mode) i also get the same results as to method 1.

i also sometimes get a kernel panic during this process...
i dont know whats wrong with my iphone... but i think it has to do with the connections or IC or something... im only a newbie.. and my phone is out of warranty. i already brought this to a repair shop and the technician said it a board problem...

please, please... i really need some help here... i tried everthing and i really want my iphone back.. please...

thanks for you time in reading my post... i hope someone could help me...

You haven't provided enough details to allow a proper diagnostic. Please read this thread http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/130802.htm and publish some of your failed restore logs.

It could be a board problem, but my guess is that it is your NOR is corrupted.

Ok.. the restore log seems to show that you aren't getting proper response to the request for SHSH blobs.

Have you got the computer connected to the internet during restore? No proxies/firewalls etc?
Are you trying to restore original IPSW or custom IPSW?
If you are trying to restore original IPSW, you don't need to be in pwned DFU mode
Whilst if you are trying to restore custom IPSW; then you do need to be in pwned DFU mode (via redsn0w or pwnagetool)

Itunes requires a valid SHSH blob (although your iPhone doesn't actually need this)

Ok.. the restore log seems to show that you aren't getting proper response to the request for SHSH blobs.

Have you got the computer connected to the internet during restore? = yes,
No proxies/firewalls etc? = im using windows XP, avira anti-virus, for as the firewall its on.

Are you trying to restore original IPSW or custom IPSW? = im restoring to original 4.2.1 since i have restored it before but when im about to jailbreak it using redsnow, it got stucked and i was forced to shut it down.

If you are trying to restore original IPSW, you don't need to be in pwned DFU mode.. you told me before to hold it for 7 seconds after it turns off..

Whilst if you are trying to restore custom IPSW; then you do need to be in pwned DFU mode (via redsn0w or pwnagetool) = if i do this, i get error 14

Have you tried several computers? Your problem is most likely USB connection related. It could be your USB port, your USB cable or the dock connector in the iPhone.

(or it could be the motherboard of the iPhone)

i tried different usb ports and computer. havent tried anything with the dock connector... my iphone is able to turn on and get to recovery mode. itunes recognizes it in dfu or recovery... i have a feeling it has to do with corrupt NOR.. can this still be fixable?

Have you tried using a USB hub in between the computer and the phone?
Depends on if the NOR can be reflashed or not.
