    Unhappy iPhone 3g disassembly problems

I took my iphone 3g apart to figure out why there was a gap between my bezel and my backing. Somehow I screwed it up and now vibration, proximity sensor, light sensor, and earphone (the one above the screen) don't work. And there is now a huge bezel gap. The vibration is huge for me since I had Haptic pro. Can anybody help?

First of all, that isn't really important. Secondly, I already said it. Only reply if you are capable of helping.

Check that the three connectors leading into the screen assembly are securely and properly fastened.

Also, how exactly did you remove the screen when you were disassembling it? I find the best way is to use a suction cup, but i've seen other methods used.

Okay, I got the connector plugged in, but the proximity sensor and such still don't work. I plugged it in correctly and secured the tab, and still nothing. I pried the screen off with a tiny flathead screwdriver. Originally I thought you had to pry the bezel off, not the screen. That may be the cause of my miseries.

I have literally just repaired one of these, they are easily damaged by water. They need to be replaced to get your phone back to fully working order.

Pretty cheap and easy to do.

    Thanks
