iphone 3G bootloader reprogram...it's possible??
Hi...i'm a new user on this forum, I'm not english or American so i hope you will understand my bad english. I'm writing in these forum to find some helping answer to some question about the bootloader.
I'm not a guru of the iphone, but i have some electronic and sistem bases, so at first i woultd know:
1st question:
-the bootloader of the iphone is contained in the SST25VF080B flash 1Mb memory solder on the iphone logic board?
2nd question is:
-It's possible to reprogram these memory (desoldering it from the logic board obviously)? and where i could find the bootloader to repropgram it?! I have search for it with google and in many forum or site but i have never find it!
I hope to find a good answer in these forum!...The best forum for iphone hacks!!!

There are two bootloaders on the iPhone, one for the application cpu http://www.theiphonewiki.com/wiki/in...tle=Bootloader and the other for the baseband. http://www.theiphonewiki.com/wiki/in...and_Bootloader
Which bootloader are you talking about? What do you want to reprogram?

Someone know what tipe of programmer should be used to reprogram the baseband chip? I'm talking alwais about desolder it and reprogram it with an external programmer.

Talk to TA Mobile in Vietnam, they have expertise in this.
I am still not sure what the point is trying to modify the baseband bootloader for a 3G iPhone.
The dev team and ta mobile have already dumped the iPhone bootrom and baseband bootloader for 3G and 3GS. The dev team won't redistribute this because they respect apple's copyright.
Right now the item that needs the most attention is the latest 3GS iPhone bootrom as this is what is limiting jailbreaks.

Reprogramming is easy, what pains you most is your hardware skills, taking out the chip is not an easy task.
Now if you're confident enough with your hardware skills, let me know.
Btw, what are the reason, why you need to reprogram the chip? 25VF080B exploit has been blocked by apple database during activation of iPhone in iTunes.

I have the people that could make the work for me with professional instruments. I would only know these beacuse it happen very frequently that i find iphone with error code that are correlated to the baseband. So i would know if an hardware fix can definitely solve it. Taking out the chip of the baseband, reprogram or replace it with a new one just reprogrammed and solding the working chips.
