    Default Iphone 2nd Gen. Frame

Long story short, Iphone took a pretty big fall (About 6 feet) onto some pavement, everything was okay minus a few dents except the home button is unresponsive.

So I sent the phone to a repair center (not apple, due to unlock) and they told me the phone needed a new frame assembly in order to fix the home button issue and their price to complete the repair was quite high for a college student. After a short google found this link here:

    http://www.welovemacs.com/iphoneframe.html

and I was curious if this was the part needed to complete the repair, or is it something else that I should be searching for? And if there is any information available on how to complete this repair if the appropriate part is found.

Any help or advice would be appreciated,
    -Atticus

You are better off buying a display assembly with a broken screen. Like this
    http://cgi.ebay.ca/Apple-iPhone-has-...QQcmdZViewItem
then swapping your working display into it.

The item in the link you gave is the "bone" of the phone with the 30 pin connector. There are lots of things that it is missing like the speaker, mic, wifi cables, data cable (the cable with the home button connected to it), etc. It is extremely difficult to assemble all the parts (or disassemble for that matter). I have a busted display assembly I could let you have for a fair price if you're interested. PM me if you want to talk about it.
