iPhone 2G, faded display, bad LCD or board??

My iPhone 2G was dropped, the top glass cracked, everything was still working fine. I scraped away the glass hoping to replace the glass myself, after the scraping work done, digitizer & LCD are still working, but the LCD display faded, images and colors not sharp as before, see photo link below.

Could this be caused by bad LCD or bad borad? I realized there are different boards, mid-board, logic board, communication board, etc, which board is for the display? Appreciate for any help.

Is it a replacement screen you have on your phone?

These chinese replacements hae a tendency of doing that..Its the cable on the left...Closest to the home button. Thats the cable which is for the lcd...

No, I do not have glass on yet, have not opened iPhone yet. Ordered the replacment glass with opening tools, not arrived yet, but I want to get some expert's advises for troubleshooting, thanks for your responses.
