    Default [iPhone 2G] 1011 + Unresponsive touchscreen

    Here's the situation;

    1. The screen is totally unresponsive, so not just the top - bottom or midpart, it's entirely unresponsive, maybe it's a loose cable or something - ideas?

    2. 1011 error, i know, i know, no way to fix it unless you use the A17 method, the big problem here is that you can't actually do the A17 without the screen, or actually you can, but the phone is quite useless without it.

    The phone;
    on 2.1 Jailbroken and activated, just 'repair needed' and no touchscreen
    has cydia installed, acces available via DiskAid
    Custom packages could be installed through a restore with an appropriate ipsw (OpenSSH - Bootneuter if it must)

    Anyone got an idea how to get more out of this brick?
    Atm it's only semiuseable as an ipod by controlling it via the mic

    Tough one. I'm moving this thread to the Hardware's section. Hopefully, you'll get some help there. Good luck

    There's a chance that the touchscreen got disconneted inside. You may check it using iLiberty on 1.1.X. If you get the Multitouchdevice SPI message, You'll need a new complete LCD+touchscreen, because the touchpanel controller is not working.
    In the other hand the A17 method only works if your baseband is empty, otherwise you'll need a new commboard.
    It's an expensive repair.
    Sorry.
