    Question Internal Speakers?

Has anyone else noticed that only one of the internal stereo speakers works?
Both a friend and I have tested this and found that if we cover the lefthand speaker with our thumb, nothing is coming out of the other one.
Wouldn't have noticed except my friend is a hardcore audio guy and it was one of the first things he checked.
Can anyone explain this? Is it maybe just a microphone and not stereo at all?
