GOOD NEWS:
I successfully replicated my remote by simply using a PC and two IR leds!! No need for complex sampling hardware, a simple 0.50$ IR transmitting (yes, NOT receiving!) LED is enough for sampling; two ones are needed for replaying sample.
Going to test IR-playing on cellphones (as soon as I find suitable SW...)

Have fun

I connected an IR LED pair to pins 12 and 14 of my phone (see pinout); I tried both with or without the 10 ohm resistor (what is it for?!?), but with no luck, my devices do not respond to commands. I alsco can't see any IR flash looking at the leds with a webcam, unlike what happens with "real" remotes.
Any suggestion?

The Audio OP-AMP of your phone has symmetrical audio outputs, that's why it doesn't work. ( + and - instead of + and ground)
The 10ohms resistor is there to limit peaks on audio output some devices (especially boosted speaker output on PC sound card).

So this is the explanation. Does it exist also a solution?

What about this pinout from a different phone?
http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-Nok...t_pinout.shtml
Is it suitable?

you can try to connect the LEDs between Left +- and Right +-.
+ and - are connected together.

I did a little test with +/- pins joined: although I can't still control any device neither see any "flashing" in the LEDs using a webcam, I tried connecting directly phone output to PC audio input.
I obtained this:

Image shows in order:
1 - sampled signal
2 - recreated signal (by hand)
3 - replayed signal (by phone)
For unknown reasons, final part of the signal contains wrong (added?!?) informations! Any idea why?!? I simply played a standard WAV file.

Reason: Don't post jumbo sized image, thanks
