iBrick needs serious attention
Hello fellas. It's my first post as I just joined, but I've used this forum since the 2g days and am completely satisfied. From now on I'll contribute and help those further behind than me. Anyway, enough kissing up, here's my issue:
iPhone 3g was running 3.0 wont do anything. If I plug it into the wall, I get the apple for just short of 20 seconds then back off. Right before it dies it makes a very quiet, but distinct sound (my best analogy is a hamster of this size dying / some extreme, high-pitched interference). This is not the lcd noise, but as a reference point that is much more tame and quieter. Please note: this is in the hardware forum as I feel it should be, so please don't NOOB me into reset, dfu, restore etc. I'm quite aware of these options, and none of them works. Itunes wont recognize it, and the only life I can get is the aforementioned 20 seconds connected to the wall.
I'll be opening it tomorrow, and i'm sure I'll find something. Just hoping you guys might be able to point me in the right direction. Both water indicators appear to be fine, but that type of damage was my first guess. I know this thing has been opened, so that's what leads me to conclusion.
Anyone with similar issues past or present feel free to chime in. Thanks in advance for your responses and your time.

So I got her opened and it just reeks of foul play. First there's tape over connector 1 (like scotch tape, not consistent with the rest of the phone). Second, were 2 missing screws holding the logic board. I know at least 2 of these are important (the ones making the battery connection), but am scouring the forum to see if there's a place I could just leave 2 out.
No reply to my first post yet, hopefully get some feedback on this one. Thanks guys.
