[home button] Is it supposed to be loose?
Hi, I just got my new iphone. Eventhough my home button works just fine, I noticed that the button feels loose, it moves around. Is it supposed to be firm? Im afraid it can lead to problems in the future. I dont know anybody else with an iphone in order to compare it, so I ask for your help.

hi i just checked my iphone and its not moving at all.. if you havnt unlocked it yet i would take it back to the shops and get a new one, or buy a new home button. if you google iphone repair parts i saw a couple of sites selling the home button... would sujest taking it back to the shop though
iPhone 3G - Black [2.2]
MacBook Black - Windows Vista & leopard [4GB Ram]
It seems quite common. I've seen many phones with this problem, they are discussing it on the users forums at apple.com.
I've bought five phones a two w41, a 44, a 46 and a 51 and every unit except the w46 has it. Some of my friends has it to.
Of course it's a bit annoying but when it doesnt move more than 1mm maybe one can survive.
- iPhone 1.1.1 with everything working
- iPhone 1.1.2 still in the box (for whenever backup is needed)
