[HELP!!] No Normal Sound unless connect headphones
Please Help, I upgraded from 114 to 202, this was after all the issues with the 1600s, what has happened is, i cannot use the headphones. without the headphones, the iPhone becomes silent, no lock sounds, no keyboard, no number pad, not even the ringtones when a call comes in, when i accept the call i cannot hear the caller, the caller hears me, unless i switch to speakers. when i connect the headphone, the iPhone behaves perfectly, all sounds are back, but not through the headphones. as if the headphone is reversed. help is this a hardware or a software???? before upgrading it was all working well, though the phone was very unstable. 1Gen iPhone 16gb.

yes this is a hardware issue which is easy to fix
your phone is still recognising it as if the headphone is pluged it
thus all sound is coming through the headphone jack
what you need to do is to take your head phones and SHOVE IT into the jack, really shove it in hard
also plug it in and jiggle it around. u can also try to clean the jack
reply with ur results

Happened to me all the time on my old phone; Cleaning the jack worked 100% of the time using this method,
1.) Take a Q-tip and cut it so that the end of the swab has only the tiniest bit of fluff still on it.
2.) Get end wet via some rubbing alcohol (be sure its not soaked just slightly damp)
3.) Insert into the headphone jack and spin.
4.) Remove and admire how filthy the inside of that jack actually was
5.) Profit

Still need help!!
STILL Need Help!! Friends, bad news, the technician replaced the headphone plug (which also includes the volumes, silent switch, headphones and the off/on switch) and nothing has changed, is there a possibility of software? if so any suggestions? Please!

Software restore can't really hurt imo, should give it a shot, although I think the chances of it helping are unlikely..

Perhaps the tech did not complete the repair as described?
I have only seen that particular issue arise in a situation where the headphone jack was either damaged or was simply dirty.. I would contact the tech who sold you the repair.

OK, it only works once downgraded to 1.1.1, and then if I upgrade to 1.1.4 the sounds go away, i will try to downgrade again and upgrade to other firmwares, will keep posting
