Help My Speaker Doesnt Work And Volume Is Messed Up
as the title says, my speaker doesnt work. i have tried everything from the q-tip trick to unplugging and plugging repeatdly to no avail. the song just doesnt pause after i take the earphones out. does any1 have any other ways to solve this problem
i am desperate.
another problem i have it with the volume. when i start it song volume can go pretty high but doesnt change after about halfway the volume is the same. then i close th ipod function. later when i open the function again the volume decreases dramatically and also it doesnt go any higher after halfway. i have to restart the phone to get the volume higher.
i am currently in canada and i have no clue how i am going to getthis fixed. HELP!

Check your ipod setting and try the needle technique. Poke 1 or2 to 3 holes on the left ( speaker side ). But dont push it to much. Just feel it that it penetrate something and then stop.
Note :Right side is for mic.

umm u mean like the speaker doesnt work cuz its plugged? i dont think thats the reason cuz the song doesnt pause when i take the headphones are out wich makes me think that the phone still thinks the earphones are plugged in. btw ive checked my ipod settings already.

then try repeatedly removing and inserting the headphone/earphone jack . Maybe the iphone still recognize as it still connected. Some other try this few times and it work for them.

Sorry to say but numerous people have had this problem....I think it is a defect with the iPhone. Having read all the problems people have had, I've avoided plugging in headphones to it...
Not sure what the solution was. I do know that some had gotten there speaker to work again by:
1. Plugging headphones in then turning off their phone, unplugging the headphones, and then turning their phone back ON
2. Complete restore via DFU mode
I would personally would rather keep trying various combinations for step 1 instead of step 2

puckt the headphones in really hard and twist them around for about 30 seconds... then pull them out and rip out some tunes on your phone
worked for me
iPhone 3G - Black [2.2]
