Hello!

Got a weird thing with my mic here:
I used the iPhones Headset/Mic combo in a normal headphone-jack on my laptop.
The headphones worked great :-)

But ever since, the mic does not work anymore when I make calls with the phone.
If I use applications like a voice-recorder, it works though...

Did anyone ever see/experience that, too?

Any hints/help would be appreciated.

My mic is totally dead as well not sure if it's the headset or the iphone.
I have a friend sending me a new headset from the US as I can't get Apple to warranty it from Canada

Something similar happened to me... I used a headset that was not approved for the iPhone, and the mic continued to work, but the earphone stopped working completely. I tried restoring the software, which didnt help. I then downgraded to 1.02, virginized the baseband, and re-restored to 1.02. It then started working again! Wierd, eh!

Tried resetting the phone - that it did not work. Waiting for the new headset ....
