Sounds like u were having a play!! Of course none of us ever do that!!!
Soldering this yourself is a recipe for disaster. I suggest finding a pro.

The same thing happened to me. You have to open the metal cover from the motherboard. Find the trace that goes from the connector to the board, scratch it. Put some solder on it. Now cut your antenna wire, you'll see the yellow wire inside. Just clean it and solder it to the trace an glue it.

where does the trace lead? i cant find where it goes?
also, where does the actual antenna (not wifi) lead to? i need somewhere to solder that to as well

sorry for butting in but speaking of antenna cables i took my iphone apart because the touch panel is broken on it and in the process i acidentally pulled the antenna cable from where it connects to the mother board i think it is the wifi cable anyway just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix it!

is it enough to just solder the yellow cable?
what about the other wires??
(i destroyed the cable to the gsm antenna)

The answer is "YES", it is enough to just solder the yellow cable. I had the same problem on my Iphone 2G 16 GB and I solved it in this way.
However, you can test this before closing the lid phone.

so with this theory you could just solder the bottom of the board connector onto the board contacts but make it into one large pad like connector?
