can't reboot phone - even after factory reset
I have a problem similar to this but when I pressed the home and power button the phone did not turn off. Now the battery is dead and it dose not seam to be charging so the phone will not even loop round the boot screen. Before I reset the phone when I pluged it in to the computer it did not charge nore did the computer acknowledge that the phone was connected. This is why I tryed the reset.
The phone was jailbroken but then had been updated and the jailbreak stoped working. It also had cynder on but it did not work as the jailbreak was not working.
So does anyone have any idears as its is not my phone and I would realy like to sort it for my friend.
Moved to a separate thread because it is a different problem.

You can narrow down if it is either of the first two problems by trying a different USB cable, a different USB port or a different computer or a standalone USB charger (like the one that came with the phone)

Thanks for the reply I have tried all the suggestions to no avail I have tried charging it from 3 different computers with 2 different cables and one of the cables was new I have also tried to charge it with the wall charger but all failed.
How ever it dose seam a bit odd as wile it did have a charge it keeped looping and it would not turn off or go in to recovery mode and I hale the power and home buttons for over 5 mins (that was uncomfortable on the fingers lol) but it did not power down. Also the loop that I have see on utube is not the same as the one I had. This one I would get the apple and the little timer circle thing come up and it just sits there for about 10-15 mins and then it restarts and dose the same again.
Hope fully this might help as I'm not sure that it is the plug on the phone that is gone and if it is how can I fix it?
I have the same Problem, I replaced my battery and it now it wont charge, or show up in iTunes. if you find a fix, please let me know, and I'll do the same.
