    Default [Button] Power issue

Today I restored the iPhone of my boss to 1.1.4 through iTunes and unlocked it with ZiPhone. But the "little power problems", that it had before, got worse:
    * The power button does not react anymore. Neither short or long pressing does show any result. Only if I press it together with the home button there is a reaction.
    * The iPhone keeps on restarting and is stuck in an endless repeatloop on the apple-logo screen, BUT only if it is NOT power connected. As soon as I connect it to the Mac or directly to the power line, it starts up and everything works fine. When I disconnect, it quickly falls into the restart-loop again (even if the batterie is fully charged).
    * The screen with the "slide to power off" slider, that normally appears after long pressing the Power Button to turn the phone off, now sometimes appears after starting up.

I restored the phone 3 or 4 times today but without any luck. I also wanted to try downgrading to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2, but iTunes refused "... could not be restored".

Please can someone help me? I suspect that it may be something like the "power management" - is there a way to reset it?

sounds more like a sticky power button to me, has your boss been particularly forcefull with or spilt anything on the power button? Has he/she dropped the phone?

Sorry I can't be of more help, but those would be the avenues I would look into.

P.S. Why are people still using ziphone? I don't understand
    Peace,

    Dok

The power button is not sticky, because it works when pressing it together with the home-button.

Sorry, which other software would you recommend instead of ZiPhone?

Correction: If I longer press the Home-Button only, the same black screen appears that normally comes when pressing both buttons longer. So you are right, the power button might stick somehow. :-(
    thx for your help

I have "almost" the same problem.
But for me...the button is stucked and sometimes it works...
But i dont have boot issues... But i'm afraid that if i turn off or the battery reach the end ... maybe i never can turn on again

Analyzing my problem...and yours... i'm almost sure that is a "HARDWARE" issue..
No matter how much time do yo try to restore...it's a hardware problem...
