i dont want to waste my phone like that, but i do like leaving it on on the default screen, and was afraid an image may have been burnt onto it.
i wasn't sure if this would happen to a LCD screen. I am aware that it is not a CRT. I also have the link to clean up dead/stuck pixels, but just wanted to take precautions or see if anyone has knowledge/experience about this.
Thanks.

If yu want you can burn a transparent image on the phone glass using laser method. As a matter of fact this should be a great idea just came into my mind. This way you can curve your girl friend's image for example on the iPhone front glass as some people does this at the back aluminium surface. Front glass laser curving should be impresive just like a tato.

Nice... so when you're trying to watch a movie it's all obscured by the glass....
As for the resale value....

Possible as long as you engrave on the top and bottom (around the Home button) black strip of the glass.
The focus point must precisely be set on the very surface as it may damage the Capacitive Sensor edges.
