hi, my iphone is bricked. The imei number is 004999010640000 ive verginised my phone and the modem firmware is now 03.14.08_G. All i want to do is get my phone working, im on firmware version 1.0.2 and also if i turn my phone on without a simcard i still get the dreaded 004999010640000 number. Can someone please help me and tell me what to do. I heard iphone sim free could help so i paid and it still didn't help because the imei number is still different even when there is no sim card in the phone

You're not very bright, are you?
We usually don't help people who mess around with IPSF but since you already paid for it and since the 0049 issue is something caused by the first Dev Team hack, I'll show mercy and tell you what to do: it is very likely that you provided the WRONG IMEI to IPSF. You need to take the IMEI on the back of your iPhone, it is written there in very small letters. It looks like this: IMEI No. 0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You need to provide THIS number to IPSF, no matter if the IMEI showed by the phone (when running the GUI) starts with 0049.
You also need to insert the SIM card you want to use with your phone when applying the IPSF patch.

DO NOT PUT YOUR SIM card in when using IPSF!

It will give you the hacked IMEI if you do that and won't work!

Remove the SIM card THEN run IPSF (Even if it says put the SIM card in) and then it will be unlocked and work again when you put ur sim in!
