Good point although some people say that it doesn't hurt it at all and you should charge it as often as you can.

I would be more relaxed too since everytime I want to upload a single song I need to just plug in for a sync.

Try looking in the native software forum for MNPlight and other solutions that do some sort of remote syncing over the air. However, none of these solutions works good enough for me.

Until Apple start offering sync over WiFi or Bluetooth, there is no way around: if you sync, you charge the battery.

As for the impact on the battery life.... hummm.... I've seen all sorts of speculations. Some say it does not hurt to charge too often and for a short period, that what count is the number of "full charges". On the other hand I've seen people claiming that every charge count and deduct from the max number of possible charges in a battery life cycle. Take your bet. I doubt that Apple would be so naive to make it so that it will impair the battery life, so I'm always charging my phone.

What we basically need is a virtual USB driver that would be able to communicate with itunes as if the iphone was connected but do everything over wifi. Very tricky to do and lots of issues to resolve, like what would happen if the phone run out of battery during a sync or get disconnected, things like that.

Too complicated and I think only Apple can do that unfortunately.

how would it be bad for ur phone to let it charge via usb? u take the same cable used for the computer, and u plug the usb into a weird box that goes into ur wall. if anything i think that would hurt the phone lol

u have nothing to worry about, i HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt apple would create a method and force everyone to use it if it did anything bad.
