any ideas what I might have broken?
So I was having problems with my Gen 1 Iphone 8gb's comms board and I ordered a replacement. During my struggle and massive frustration opening the back case I accidentally reptured the battery, there was a bit of smoke, total bad news.
I knew I had screwed up, however, I figured that I might be in luck, seeing as the replacement comms board came attached to another battery. So I went ahead and replaced the comm board and battery, now, however, it doesn't seem to turn on or charge?
Any ideas as to what I might have screwed up?
If I can't figure this out. I may pull the new comm board and sell it as well as the phone itself for parts D'oh.
It really makes me appreciate how easy the 3g is to take apart...
Looking back at my post I guess it is a little vague. Anyway, to carify:
1) How can I test the new battery?
2) How can I test the logic board and new comms board?
3) Are there any other components that might require some testing?
1) yes measrue it -> digital panel meter
