Default [Antenna cover] Can't put it back

    Hello all

I backed out of my hardware unlock after I didn't want to risk marking the back cover, but I can't get the antenna cover back on.

I bought a replacement cover after I messed up the original but this one is exactly the same.

It appears to fit but becomes loose when the phone is moved!

Can anyone suggest where the problem is likely to lie? It's either going to be the bits by the dock connector or the tabs that fit into the antenna. Also, should I be worried about damaging the tabs right at the bottom of this picture - hxxp://www.ifixit.com/Guide/105/images_large/03.jpg against the metal on the rear metal cover?

Can post hi res pictures later if it'd help.

    Hi,
ive got the same problem as you, if a new one doesnt fit on properly and provided you did it correctly i suggest that you get a hard cover. because that location is where the antennas are, i would suggest that it be safe and covered up.
for me i plan to get a hardcover casing.

    hope this helps

just checking, but are you sure that you've positioned the bottom most flap/lock correctly so that it goes behind the dock connector part?

i had the same thing, it would just slide off, but not now this is locked down.

I needed more than 30 minutes to get the antenna cover back in place.

To succeed, I held the "locks" above the docking connector on a hot lamp. Then I could slightly change the angle of the lock panel without damaging the cover. My next attempt to slide the cover back in place was successful.

Make sure you dont heat de cover for more than 1-2 minutes or it could melt or totally lose it's shape.

Hi everyone, well it's the first time I'm triying to open my Iphone, but when I tried to put the antenna cover back, I symply couldn't, after a while It finally get secured but there is an small gap btween the dock connector an the phone, I revised the cover and I noticed that the 2 very little parts that are at the bottom of the cover are broken, is that the reason of the gap or not?, I'm asking this because I have seen that I only have to try to put correctly the four lock's on the cover.
    Thanks.
