Default [Advice] No Service > everything else is ok

Hello everybody! how is it going? here's ok... strugling for months with my iPhone.
What happened? well... suddenly one day started showing "NO SERVICE" where the carrier locgo should be and I was never able to make a phone call ever. It's weird, WIFI works fine, ipod, etc, the only thing that is not working is the phone itself. I tried several SIMs, restored and installed different releases but still didn't have luck.
Finally I opened the antenna cover and the rear panel because I read someone did that and got signal... well I didn't have that luck.

Do you have any ideas? do you know how can I test if this is a "real" hardware error? and what can be? Antenna? (remember that WIFI works fine) communications board?

    Thanks in advance!
    Gustavo.-

You said you tried restorring right? Have you tried older firmwares or erasing the baseband?

Tried restorring several times, always erasing the baseband, and using siphone, iliberty, and now using pwnage + bootneuter.

All works, but get the "no service", so... no telephony services.

Is there a way I can tell for real that I'm not having a software issue? meaning... something extra I can look for?

And is there a way to test hardware? it'll be the communications boards and/or the antenna the ones that could be broken? (weird since wifi works perfectly fine).

Right now phone is opened and still the same "no service".

    Thanks.

    Default damn

Damnit, i have the same issue. Just got it today. Upgraded to 1.14 for about 3-4 weeks, (bought as a 1.0.2 OOB). Did the upgrade using iLiberty+ on windows.

I'm stuck on the 1 bar/ no service bit, can't make or receive any calls (and i'm assuming text also)

I've had success with the refurbish option in ziphone (no pwn at the time). If you've erased the baseband and restored and still no luck, it's probably a hardware issue. The only thing you can do at that point is to replace the comm board. That will for sure fix your problem.

Refurbish didn't work for me... the only bad thing for replacing the comm board is I saw it as u$s 150, and they say new iphone of 16gb will cost u$s 200 and I'm from Argentina and I don't have anyone to buy me that piece.

    Thanks.
