[Advice] iPhone won't start, stuck on loop b/w screen
A few days ago I unlocked a friend's iPhone with ZiPhone, I tested it and turn it off, everything was ok at that point.
Now when he came to get it back, the iPhone didn't start
. Now all I see is the screen turn white and black over and over again. I tried to put it restore mode.... It didn't work.
So I tried to put in DFU Mode... it did work... but when I try to restore it with iTunes, it goes to 'Preparing iPhone to restore', and gets stucked there. Then iTunes gives me the this error 'The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1601)'.
So I don't know what else to do, please any suggestions or ideas will be very helpful.

Might as well try and clean it out via the phone itself by erase all content and settings or you could try a shift plus update to 1.1.4 and then try and restore it, on a side note why use ziphone ?

I can't turn on my iphone, so I can't clean it out.... I tried to restore it to 1.1.4 but again that didn't work not even in DFU Mode.
When I turn on the phone, it doesn't start, doesn't even show the little apple... The screen only turns white and then black.... Forever

OH MY GOD Dezur, finally someone in the same boat like me . The exact same thing happened to my iphone , like literally the same bloody scenario . Can not restore with the same error 1601. I have been trying for over a month now with every software and tool out there on Mac and PC. My advice, no software will ever work. We must try a different approach and this leaves us with nothing but the hardware wire thingy.
Let me know mate what are you going to do about it? If possible PM to exchange some ideas. I feel the pain matey ...
Best of luck, i am heading off to the hardware section again ...
Cheers

i have the same exact problem 2 months ago.
i tried DFU mode, use a different USB port to restore, use another computer, upgrade to latest iTunes.
NONE works.
in the end... i brought it back to APPLE store for an exchange.
of course dont tell them that u jailbreak the phone.

Well I think my only option is to exchange it... Hope I can
, if not I will move to the hardware trick...
Someone knows in which post can I find that thing of connecting 2 wires to bring it back to life again???
