    Angry Advice

    I just bought an iPhone a little over a month ago now. I love it and i couldn't live with out. I was out a nice summer after noon and knelled down to pick up something that i had dropped and out of my pocket falls my iPhone face down on the concrete!!!! i knew before i picked it up. Like a mother that just knows its baby is in trouble, that my iPhone is now broke. Hopping for the best and preparing for the worst i pick it up to see.........The cracked screen!!!! Sense then i have been trying to figure out how to get it fixed for free..... I called apple support to see if because it was less the month if they could fix my broken screen..... and they don't its 250$. He asked if i had dropped it or if it came out of the box like that and i said... it came out of the box like that and said he would wave the fees then. He went ahead and did and then got back on and said apparently at some point in this conversation you said you had in fact dropped your phone. sense you did theres no way I'll be able to wave the fee. I went into the apple store and calmed it came out of the box like that. they didn't let me......... what should i do i have a pre price drop i phone that is unactivated..... i called back to customer care later to say it came out of the box like that. hopping they didn't log and note the call but they did. what should i do i told them they misunderstood in the last call and that i said i don't understand how they sold it to me like this it looks like it was dropped and i explained that to the last guy and that he must not have logged it...... what can i do does anyone understand how apple would respond to this and what i could do to get it replaced for free?

    I dunno dude - I think you're SOL. Sucks, bad luck, I commiserate, but not only did you drop the phone in the first place, you also kinda blew it by not keeping your story straight with the guy on the phone. At this point (since you called back and tried again) you may be flagged as a "problem customer", further reducing your chances of getting anything for free.

    And by posting that email, you've now screwed over the guy on the inside who is trying to help you. Why couldn't you just keep the email to yourself? Ugh.

    lol i would love to see something happen because of an email that some one said was sent by some one about something...... thats a lot of unknowns to even come close to prove its anyone........ I'll let you know how it goes when i know. mostly i was just wondering what apple's tech support is set up like. I think its a three tear system.

    Haha, I love how people fuck up their iphones and they expect, for some reason, that they are entitled to a free replacement. You broke it, you bought it. It's a philosophy that means many things in life.

    Come on we all have to agree that it sucks to buy a 600 dollar phone and pay 250 to get it fixed. I don't want to or intended to start a bunch of arguing. I was just wondering how apple's tech support is set up. I retracted the email that was sent to me to make every one sleep a little better.

    Well, I would agree with you. It does suck to have to pay $250 to get your phone fixed, but you broke it. It's not like Apple sold it to you that way and didn't do anything about it. But the even worse part is how you told them you dropped it. Good job screwing that up, better luck next time.
