I searched this thread and I couldn't find any instance of anyone iphone not powering up.
For some reason , nothing happens when i hit the power or home button on my phone, I tried plugging it into the computer and nothing happens too . I can't get the phone to power up .
My phone was jail break , activate, unlock with iliberty . I never had any problem with it but it suddenly died on me. I only had it since May 08. Should I send it to Apple for a warranty or go to the apple store ?

well first off thread title is not in conformity with the rules. So this will probably be closed. But it could be that your battery has dried up. It wouldn't make sense for it to happen that fast, but if you bought in late may you should be able to trade for an iPhone 3G if they fix it. But take it to apple and tell them it doesn't work anymore. Because they cannot turn it on they will not know that it was hacked. If someone else could correct anything I sayjust in case I am incorrect, thanks

you can try connect it to the wall charger and leave it there for about 30 minutes, after that try to do a soft reset plugged to the wall

I tried that but it didn't work. When I bring the phone to the apple store, what am I going to tell them when they asked for my wireless phone number. I never activated my phone. The phone looks brand new since I always kept it in a silicon cover the day I bought it

check this thread (post #2) according to the link in there you dont need to be activated on AT&T to receive warranty.

You would need proof of purchase correct? I bought it from an ATT store but I don't have the reciept anymore. Does it matter?
