this phone is NOT circle booting. It is stuck on the main Post screen..

yeah a friend of mine gave me a 4gb iphone stock not modded or tampered with in anyway. when you hit the power button it shows the silver apple icon and it just stays on that untill the battery is dead wont cut off after it comes on to that screen.. iv tryed reseting it. by holding the power and home buttons. Iv tryed to plug it to a PC and it does nothing. its just stuck on this screen.. what do i need to try next.

Try rebooting while connected to itunes.

thats the problem.. it wont connect to the PC at all.. its just froze on that one screen and wont do jack..

Did you try DFU mode? Press both buttons and after 10 secs release power button but keep pressing the home button. After that, you should be able to restore.

haven't yet but ill give that a try.

cant get it in dfu mode once the apple appears on the front it wont cut off it wont go into dfu mode. if even used software to force dfu on the phone with the usb cable but nada. still is froze on apple screen and stays that way until the battery dies and then maybe try it over again. i take take a video if need be.
