    Default WiFi Issues after greenpois0n?

OK, helping my Dad out with an issue he had. He's got an old bootrom 3GS that was at 3.1.2. We did a backup, etc., and upgraded to 4.1, then used greenpois0n to jailbreak. Had no issues with the jailbreak, Cydia installed, let it do its updates, etc. Problem now is that WiFi doesn't resume after sleep -- if the phone is unlocked (e.g., slide to unlock), WiFi shows as connected, but it will not route traffic until it is toggled from either SBSettings or Settings.app. I removed SBSettings and reinstalled just in case that was the issue, but that didn't resolve the problem. I'm having him test other networks to make sure it's not something specific with his network at home, but I expect the behavior will follow him wherever he goes. He was not having this issue prior to the 4.1 / greenpois0n upgrade. He was jailbroken on 3.1.2 with blackra1n (not Pwnage, unfortunately), if that has any impact.

In this case, I'm guessing the best next step would be to manually back up the SMS + Call History databases + other data he wants to keep, do a sync to ensure his contacts / etc., are backed up and that all Application data has been saved, wipe all content and settings from the iPhone, restore to 4.1, greenpois0n, set up as a new iPhone, then copy the databases back after jailbreak. That said, I'd really, really prefer not to have to do that -- if it's the only solution, I'll definitely give it a go, but I'm hoping there may be something quicker and easier that someone may have noticed.

Anyone having similar issues and come up with a fix?

    Thanks in advance!

I haven't heard of any wifi issue associated with firmware 4.1 and Greenpois0n.
Did you restore from backup or setup as new phone ?

FWIW, i have 4.1 on my ip4 with greenpois0n. I did a restore from backup and it's normal.

We actually did an 'update' from the phone instead of a restore, so, we restored from backup (effectively). I'm fairly certain that's the culprit, as expected, but was hoping for a way to resolve without wiping and restarting
