    YES if baseband is compatible with US.
    NO if you have upgraded to stock FW.

    More detailed answer:

    Yes on iPhone 4 where tinyumbrella (or saurik's server) has been used to preserve baseband 1.59.00 when upgrading/restoring to iOS 4.1

    No on 3G and 3GS iPhones, the only way to use ultrasn0w at 4.1 with these is via Pwnagetool 4. and custom IPSW.
