Most battery draining problems show up in the Console or syslog.
Get the iPhone enterprise config utility - it allows you to view the console log.
how do i do that? whats the exact name of the utility? n how do i spot the problem?

The tool I was referring to can be downloaded from here: Apple - Support - iPhone - Enterprise

As for syslog - that is explained here System Log - The iPhone Wiki
I have saved my iphone console log using the iPhone configuration Utility as a text file. How do i post it here? (i tried copy pasting it but it said that the post was too long)
use Pastebin.com - #1 paste tool since 2002! or New - Pastie and paste the log file there.
Then simply copy and paste the address to your pastesite entry in a reply to this thread.
this is my iphone console.. during which i sent a message on whatsapp and surfed a site on safari
Private Paste - Pastie
can anyone spot the problem..
Ugh, a dilemma - I know exactly what your problem is - but.... you're a pirate (you have Installous installed) and we don't tolerate pirates here.
Your actions in pirating software that is essentially quite cheap hurt the jailbreaking scene and risk the key players stop making new jailbreaks and unlocks available.
Most of this software is cheaper than a cup of coffee (in my country most of it is cheaper than 3 cups of coffee!)
The fact that you have committed to the expensive purchase/contract price of an iPhone suggests that you have enough money to afford to pay for apps, yet you deliberately choose not to.
Also, your piracy (or forgetting to change the default SSH password) is probably the reason your iPhone has been infected with the Ikee worm/virus
It's this virus that is killing your battery life.
Stop pirating, we've said it before - you can't trust pirates to not embed trojans or viruses into their cracked software.
i download pirated apps before buying them from the app store because i wish to try them before spending the 1-10$ to buy them. I wish there was system to try an app/game for a few days before buying it especially with the apps that cost 20-30$(or more). after a few days of trying i buy it or uninstall it completely. its not about the affordability , many apps dont have a "lite" version to try out.
what's the solution to the Ikee worm? will simply changing my ssh password solve it at this point? or will i need to completely restore (to remove the jb) and then re jb (and change the password)?
also, which particular app/apps were carrying the virus?
can you please tell me how u spotted the problem?
thanks a lot for your help..
