xchat: Change Machine Name
Tired of seeing jMac displayed when using spaz“s script for /macinfo ?
Or maybe you are seeing that stupid apple development platform text?
Well, here is a lil tut on how to change it.
In terminal:
sudo nano /System/Library/SystemProfiler/SPPlatformReporter.spreporter/Contents/Resources/SPMachineTypes.plist
Find ADP2,1 if you are on such a machine, or search for your mac model:
<key>ADP2,1</key>
<string>jMac</string> : change this string to desired computer name.
