    Arrow Video Cards supported with Quad G5

    Hi Guys I have a Quad G5 PPC which is has been very sweet to me for awhile now...But I wan to upgrade my Graphics Card.. Now I have Gforce 6200...

    What is there for this system I can't find anything around that is Mac edition
    Or do I need a Mac Edition<<<<

    It is not polite to repeatedly bump a thread when no one has responded. Maybe you did not provide enough information in the first place to allow someone to help you.

    I assume you have looked at:
    Power Mac G5 (Late 2005) and Mac Pro: Graphics card compatibility between models

    Yes you need a Mac card and not all the mac cards support a G5. Yes Apple has been bad in offering a very limited range of cards that are supported, selling them at inflated prices and removing them from sale after far too short a time. ATI was for a long time quite good in offering video cards specifically for Mac.

    There are hacks available for reflashing Windows video cards to Mac cards. This approach is not guaranteed to work and requires a moderate to high degree of technical skill. You can sometimes even find them on ebay.

    Thankyou Olethros I think that I was not rude... look at the date that I posted this... Also there is not much more I can post about this system I mean other than the diff CPU's they mostly these system came with a GeForce 6200 thats about it .....I didn't think I need to say that I have 16gigs of ram and 2Terebytes of disks LOL

    Thanks anyways for your help.. So I just need to look for these cards from the link you posted.

    The thing that confused me was that you had specified a nvdia 6200 card as what you have in it today. The card that shipped with your model g5 is 6600

    Try: G5 & Mac Pro PCI Express Video Cards, Apple Mac Products, iPod Accessories as a starting point.
