Make sure that it works with Mac Pro 1,1. I think I heard something about some video cards working with the new Mac Pro but not the old one...

If it's said to work with Mac Pro (1,1), then it probably will...

It says that it depends on the generation of the video card. You can also check the specs on Wikipedia.

It depends on what are you expecting; you are upgrading the graphics cards ofc.

(but graphical usage-wise it doesn't seem to make such a difference... to me, that is, and not worth the $279)
