Very strange issue with macbook wireless connection
Hi everyone,
today I got a very strange and annoing problem with my macbook. I turned it on and I simply can't get any network connection. The mac correctly connects to my access point but then if i try to open google or any other page it doesn't work. I tried booting on Windows XP and it is even stranger. The wireless connection works for a couple of minutes and then it stops.
Yesterday I was playing wit KisMAC, could it be an issue related to this program?
I tried to connect to my network with a Vaio laptop and my iPhone 2G and it works like a charm, so my connection's fine...
On leopard's network utility i cans see some packets sent, some recevied and a small amount of errors and collisions...
Any ideas?
Also, on windows the Ethernet connection works, on leopard it doesn't...
Also, now it works (it loaded 2/10 of the google main page :S) but PAINFULLY slow (and is not a ADSL related issue... my connection is kinda fast)

I have a problem too
I can't seem to get my brand new macbook to get a fast internet connection... it loads gizmodo and engadget really slow. Almost like back in the 56k connection era.. i am at a loss, is there anything to clear/clean up the memory cache or a way to do a disk defragmenter or something to speed it up??
I have a late 2008 macbook black - 2.4GHz 250Gb 4GB of Ram
it should be fast!!

Pull up Network Utility and have a look at your "EN1" interface.
Make note of such things as your link speed and your transfer statistics.
For example, if you have a large number of send or receive errors, then it means that you are likely experiencing a lot of localized interference and you could benefit by changing the channel on your equipment.
For example, I know that the newer 2.4GHz radios are very susceptible to signal noise from unshielded electrical wiring which is common in older homes. If that is the case, you could also try changing your broadcast frequency from 2.4 GHz to 5.8 GHz as that tends to resolve those issues rather nicely.
Either way, Network Utility will give you a lot of information that we can use to troubleshoot this issue for you.
