You shouldn't have any problems as long as your going from the same type of computer(Macbook Pro to Macbook Pro) I had some problems once because i installed Snow leopard onto my mac pro from my macbook pro via firewire and i think it messed with drivers or something because the superdrives on my mac pro act funny sometimes when writing. Also make sure you make a carbon copy of the drive and not just drag and drop everything onto the new drive. I use Carbon Copy Cloner. Hope this helps.
