    Default Replacing Harddrives (MacBook Pro)

I have an early 2007 MacBook Pro with a 230GB hard drive. I want to put a new 500GB on in. I have the hard drive already. I know that installing it myself will void the warranty, so my question is...does anyone know how much the Apple Store charges for replacing the hard drive? Also will they clone the drive to put all my files on the new drive or am I responsible for this?

Unfortunately, I live about 2 1/2 hours from the closest store so its not like I can just drive up there and ask them without knowing. I have tried calling, but no one ever picks up so either they are really busy or they just don't answer the phone.

well with a quick call to my local apple store i found out that the retail stores actually dont do HDD upgrades
the lady on the phone said that they recommend 3-rd party companies but did say that it would void your warranty
