[SSH] Remote Access from Windows XP to Leopard 10.5 through PuTTy
I'm wondering if I can be able to access through Putty to Leopard 10.5? This is the thing:
I want to make something like a shell thing, I need someone to connect to my macbook using my terminal, of course, logging with another user which I will provide. For example, I try this:
In my own terminal, I type:
ssh -l name AND THE IP
When I go to my Sys Preferences -> Sharing and then REMOTE LOGIN, it says "To log in to this computer remotely, type "ssh name@ip".
For example: ssh firstname.lastname@example.org
It allows me to connect in my terminal, it allows me to type the password and everything.
Now, I wanna get access through SSH using Putty (working on a Windows XP)
When I type the IP in the HOST NAME(OR IP ADDRESS) field, and the port 22 (PUTTY.EXE) and then Open, it brings the black screen with an error., time out, etc...
I don't know what happens, I checked everything to make everyone to take control of my macbook trying to discover how to this is.
What do I want to get doing this?
I need to make an user and a password for someone to connect from Windows XP to that user located in my macbook, and let this person runs BITCHX.
Please, I need help with this.
Hope I detailed everything :) Thanks a lot.
