IntelliJ CE has no settings; UE does!
Stop me if you've heard this one...
I installed IntelliJ 9.0.2 CE and opened it. The Preferences option does nothing. File | Settings does nothing. File | Other Settings | Configure Plugins does work. To make matters even weirder, I can add a class, compile it, and print "Hello World"...so it's not like there's a problem with the Java install.
I think it's important to note that Eclipse works fine. Also, when I downloaded a trial version of IntelliJ's Ultimate Edition, Preferences and File | Settings loaded up just fine!
I do a lot of things with Java and have really come to like IntelliJ Community Edition. I use it on my Macbook all the time with no problems. I built a hackintosh not too long ago and everything seemed like it was working perfectly -- I can even get the apple updates.
I suppose I can export settings from my laptop and import on the hackintosh, but this is just too weird and I don't understand what's happening. Anyone run into this or have any ideas about what's going on here?
