Buying ram for an MBP

Hey all -

I have a Macbook Pro (17", 2.4 Intel) that I was looking to upgrade the ram on.

I've seen some really awesome deals on 4gb so-dimm memory, but its never on the stuff labeled 'mac memory'. When looking at the memory modules physically, I can't see any difference.

Is there any? Do I have to get the 'mac memory' or will any memory of the same speed do just as well?

You can use any compatible memory.

i will strongly recomend you to look at your favorite hardware shop. you can save a lot of money.. i pimped my MBP with 2 extra gigs for the half price than those on macstore..

I use crucial for my memory.
