About LinkBackscan anyone recommend an free app that'll allow me to convert a m2ts/.264 in to a mp4.
i downloaded tsMuxerGDI but that will only let me convert from m2ts to .264

There's Ffmpeg X which does convert any file in any format. Useful.

Free Mac Video Converter - Mac Video Converter is totally free to convert video and audio for Mac OS easy!
This is free but not sure will do the job for you. I have lots of wmv files and it converts just fine.
