hi all,

Sorry, made such a noobie mistake and now I can't seem to get out of it. I was trying to install the Subversion GUI for mac (svnX) and one of the prelims was to install the Subversion client.
To get it working I had to open terminal, and open .bash_profile using pico.
Then, I entered the following command to alter the path:
PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/subversion/bin:$PATH"
export PATH
on save of pico (Ctrl-O) and restart i found i couldnt path to subversion. What was worse I couldnt re-open the .bash_profile file with pico or vi.
I tried " pico .bash_profile" and "vi .bash_profile"
now even basic commands like ls or man dont' work.
how can I get to my .bash_profile so I can get rid of the offending line?

please help!
