Macbook Pro will return error when attempting to restore ANY iPhone with ANY Firmware
I dont know what is wrong with my computer. I have 4 3GS's and 3 3Gs.
I have tried to restore iPhones to stock 4.2.1 firmware and it returns error 1600.
I have tried to restore iPhones to Pwnage cooked 4.1 and 4.2.1 and it returns error 1600.
Is something wrong with my computer?? I have tried EVERYTHING I HAVE FOUND. Its been 5 days by now that I am trying to find a way to restore iPhones. I remember erasing the gs.apple.com lines on the Hosts archive a few days back. May that be the issue? Im going insane already! PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!

What iOS version are you running?
Have you tried connecting via a USB hub, or removing any other USB devices from the computer while you are testing the restore.
Have you tried creating another user account and testing the restore from there?

I have no USB hub. I dont have anything else connected via USB. I havent made another user acct. Now with your help on the other thread, they do restore, but first attempt returns error 1600, unplug and plug the phone, restore, and it goes smooth. I dont understand!

weird isn't it? Someone else on the Dev-Team site came up with the same solution, I found I could bypass it by changing macs, same spec just one that hadn't been used for a restore before, so maybe it points a file catch somewhere.
