I have been having some trouble setting up my aaxa tech m2 micro projector. I decided to go with the m2 because of it is extremely portable, minus the fact it has a power adapter. But spec wise, it's great. Has all the necessary inputs including hdmi and even has native xga 1024x768 resolution. The fan can get a bit noisy, but I zone it out after a while.

But the problem at hand, I can't project anything out of the macbook. I don't know if its my settings or if I don't have the right cable.

Essentially when I plug in my projector to my macbook, the projector doesn't project anything.

I have the Apple Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA. When I go to the display settings on the macbook, It seems like my macbook detects the project, yet nothing is projected..

Sweet Holy Moly!! I finally figured it out. Man I can't tell you how good it feels to have everything working as it should. The problem was that I didn't click detect windows, and then I had to change the resolution down to 1024x768 @ 60hz which is optimal for the projector.. I thought the res would have been a bit higher but it still looks great!
