Default Install iLife from Boot Disc to Different Machine

So I have an older white Macbook with iLife '06 on it, and a friend of mine just got a new iMac with iLife '09.

I've been meaning to reinstall Leopard just to clean things up and start fresh. Is there a way for me to use his boot disc to install Leopard and iLife '09 to my machine? The disc seems to be locked to install on just iMac's.

I seem to remember there used to be a way to edit the disc image and make it non-model specific.

    Any help is appreciated!

I think that would be illegal...

But if it's not... I would say that poking around the installer might give you a plist file or something and change the build number... (this is recommended against anyhow...)
