i have a dell inseron 4150 hackintosh running OSX 10.4.11 with no problems and really only use it for internet browsing as i am now, syncing my ipod touch, downloading music, and garage band. i use garage band for my guitar as an amp as many other people do and wishing to upgrade i noticed last minute that you need leopard. unfortunatly i can not upgrade to leopard because my laptop does not support it. my question is as you can simply change the firmware id in an iphone by changing a string how would you be going about the same thing to make my tiger "think" its leopard?

Mess around with that, even though it would only get you through the installer. Running the programs would mean further reverse engineering and compatibility fixes.

A better solution for you is making yourself a Liger installation.
