    Default Huge Decision About Mac

    Hi everyone

I've been using Windows for 15 years and I decided to jump into the Mac World. I am gonna buy a MacBook Pro. But I have some problems with that

*Any new version of MacBook Pro gonna be released soon?

*Am I gonna be able to open my presentations, essays [done in mac] in Windows?

    Thanx in advance

    Hiya

Well I thought a few more people would have come to help you by now, doesn't give me much hope in the community. You have had lots of views but no replies, maybe all newbies reading up.

I'm a PC, have been since Windows V1.0 and had nothing to do with Windows 7, thank God. I am also a newbie to Mac world. My experience is with iPad and iPhone, of which I have the iworks package. The component parts of iWorks are Pages a word processor compatable with Word for both import and export, Numbers which is the spreadsheet again compatable with Excel and Keynote which is for all intense and purposes is Powerpoint, not used it yet but would assume it to be compatable. All this said I would assume that the Mac in Windows will be compatable, not used it.

New Mac's the iMac's are having a facelift with the new i3 and i5 processors replace the intel core duo's so these are 100 cheaper at PC World and Comet etc. Check the apple website for more or even Modmyi.com they have a good news section.

Maybe this reply might spark a bit of shame into someone more converese with a Mac to join in.

Also rember it is holiday season and people will be away on their Hols.

    Regards, Tony

Its a great decision, I have been using a mac for 2 years. YES you can use your saved essays, presentations, excels, ........ All you have to do is save your work in .doc or .docx. The .docx is the Office 2007 and newer and .doc is for older version of word. I have done it myself. So do not worry. They work vice-versa also.
