Help. Which is the best method to connect my Macbook to my TV?
Hi...
I have a new MacBook and I´m trying to find out how it works.
I´m asking for some help because I want to connect my MacBook to my TV. I think there are HD cables, but I heard that sound doesn´t work.
Could someone tell me which is the best method to connect my laptop please? My TV supports HD, so I would like to benefit as much as possible.
Thank you!!

No matter what you need this:
Belkin HDMI to DVI Cable - Apple Store (U.S.)
If you have an alluminum macbook you need this:
Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.)
If you have a white or black macbook you need this:
Apple Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.)
in order to get sound all you need is a 1/8" to an 1/8" cable (like a headphone jack)
if you have any more questions feel free to email me at soccergeek1130@gmail.com because i dont check the forums much

dvi - hdmi
I'm assuming that you are trying to connect the computer to an lcd or plasma type tv. The connection that will give you the highest resolution and overall image quality is the dvi (or mini dvi) to hdmi cable. You can find it online at a number of websites (5-10 dollars) or if you have a problem with instant gratification like me, go to best buy and spend 60 dollars on it.
I have a 55" samsung led tv with a mac mini plugged in to it with a dvi to hdmi cable and it is perfect. one of the best features is itunes visualizations while you have ppl over listening to music.
I also have the wireless mouse and keyboard so that i can kick back on the couch and do my thing with the tv as my monitor.

What kind of connectors you have on your TV?
DVI, VGA, Component, Composite.
DVI - Big connector and pins with weird pins.
VGA - Standard monitor cable
Component - 3 different color connectors.
Composite - 1 yellow connector
Which one are you planing to use?
