    Question HDD for MAC

    hey guys,

i've been researching for a new HDD for my MacBook.

When i checked the APPLE website, it states that the HDD is 5400 RPM

do you think that it would support a HDD that is: 7200 RPM????

RPM doesn't matter as much as the actual throughput data rate.

It may drain your battery faster though...

mainly because it's cheaper, and that it won't waste your battery.

    bang for the buck.

But I believe that the MacBook does support the 7200rpm speed

I don't live in the US, so I have no idea whatsoever as to how to help you apart from pointing you to Amazon.

I'd say if you don't have the materiel it's better if you just bought the hard drive and get a genius to do it for you.
    Code:
    Clean, soft, lint-free cloth
    Coin
Phillips #1 screwdriver (preferably with a long handle)
Stiff, plastic, nonmagnetic card (such as a library card)
(assuming that you haven't or are not familiar with getting to the hard drive, it's just better for you to let someone who's used to doing it do it for you. but if you insist on doing it yourself, make sure that you're careful)

the guide should provide everything in terms of info you will need in installing the HDD in a MacBook.(not sure what your question is exactly...)

(and again, it's Mac not MAC, cuz it stands for Media Access Control)
