I need some help. I have followed all instructions. Initially, I did not have a thumb drive large enough to hold the custom install disc. I cloned it to my external hard drive instead. when i tried to install it from there, i got a message that said "cannot be used from this volume". i began cloning it to my computer hard drive, but clicked "stop" - it still loaded enough that it's showing up. i want to uninstall it from both hard drives and don't know how to do that without possible damage to other files, or accidentally removing the OS that I already have on my computer hd. i need help removing that, please.

also, i have since gotten a 16 GB flash drive. cloned to that. same error message of "cannot be used from this volume". is there something else that needs to be done? i did follow the directions. i did it three times. the only thing that wasn't exactly as these instructions say is that the packages folder created on the desktop - nothing was sent to it at all. i found the distribution file in my finder. none of the files copied to the packages folder at all. i don't known if that makes a difference or not. everything else was the same.

if there is anyone that can help me with either of these issues, that would be great. thank you very much!

I even registered on this Forum to thank you.

I have followed EVERYTHING! I had to reformat my thumbdrive because it wasn't partitioned correctly. Have solved that. The other thing that happened was that it never would extract the Distribution file to the "Packages" folder on my desktop. It would extract it to my computer, and was easily found, but not in the "Packages" folder. That aside, everything else was followed and executed to the letter, yet I am still receiving a an error message: install mac os x operation could not be completed. (osproductmanagerdomain error 100)

Could you please help me figure out why it isn't working? I have done this 7 times now... (although the first several errors were because my thumbdrive wasn't partitioned correctly, so I've only done it 4 times with a correctly formatted/partitioned thumbdrive).
