erased MAC partition. Only have WIN XP now...:S
Okay so I got a BLACK Macbook 13Inch A1181
-Core 2 duo 2.1GHz
-1GB RAM
It had Mac OS and Windows XP.
The MAC OS has a lot of crap, so i waned to format. I'm new to MAC's, so don't hurt me :c ty lol
Okay what I did was I insert CD MAC OS X 15.5.6 while on MAC OS. I clicke don install it hink and it then pormpted to restart but asked for user name and pw? I didn't know the id/pw so i restarted and booted from the CD and i went to disk utilities and changed the pw for the user. But while there, i just went under my hd where WIN XP and MAC was partitioned and i clicked erase on the MAC OS. Then i reboot to install MAC OS but afte ri click language, it says "CANNOT INSTALL MAC OS ON THIS COMPUTER" or something.
So now my macbook only has WIndows XP...i can't use MAC OS on it
How I fix?
Keeps saying CANNOT INSTALL ON THIS COMP sigh....the mac partition is in mac extended journaled or w.e etc mannnnnn :'/

Hi Slolatino, I think you've lost your mac partition, so therefore mac os has no drive to install to. If that makes sense. See if someone else has a better idea, but I would be inclined to back up the PC partition then wipe the whole thing and start again, by installing mac OSX 10.5. I presume you don't have a time machine backup?

I knew it! Okay well I don't need any of the files! No backup needed. SO do format the whole HDD, I insert CD 15.5.6 and go to disk utilities...and click ont he first HDD which is 120 GB FUJITSU and under it has MAC n WIN PArtition..so i click the fujitsu one? click erase then what?

Once the whole disc is erased and formatted it will then accept a new installation of OX 10.5, at the moment all the installer is seeing is the windows drive, which it can't install to.
