Default disabling hard drive from iphoto

    hey guys,

Everytime i restart my iMac, iphoto loads and reads my external drive and takes abit of time and causes the iMac to load slower than usual. Is there a way for me to disable the hard drive from reading in iPhoto?

I've also installed a canon printer to my iMac and i used bonjour for windows to share my printer to my laptop pc. The problem is whenever i print, it only prints in grey scale type. I tried to change quality printing settings but it's still more or less the same. Any solution to this one?
